Do you realize in one week American’s will be eating their way into a food coma? I can’t believe Thanksgiving is nearly here. So here is a great recipes for Turkey Day!
This is a large recipe, but has never gone to waste.
cook time: 45 minutes
5 lbs. cooked, peeled, mashed potatoes
1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 c. half & half
1 cube butter
1 tsp. onion salt
1 tsp. season salt
Salt & pepper to taste
Wash, peel and cube potatoes.
Boil on high for 10 minutes or until they fall apparent when you stick a fork in them.
Drain and mash.
Mix together in casserole. Put in refrigerator, or will freeze very well.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
This can me made the night before and cooked on Thanksgiving. These mashed potatoes are so good they don’t need gravy but I do love making them loaded…
Loaded 2 cup cheddar cheese (or as much as desired) 2 bunch (about 8 stalks) of green onions (or as much as desired) 9 strips of bacon cooked and cut up (or as much as desired)
