Something I loved making as a kid and still do is English Muffin Pizzas. They are super easy and both kids and adults love them. Also, if you plan on having a New Years Party you can make several different types of pizza and cut them up for finger food. It is win win and everyone loves it.
Staying home with your kids and want to make if fun? My little cousins loved coming into the kitchen and making their own pizza. They were excited to make it, excited it was cooking and couldn’t wait for them to be done.
Put say you are having a party. Make several different kinds of pizza and cut them into halves or quarters for party finger food.
What You’ll Need
1 package or more of English Muffins (1 English Muffin Makes 2 Mini Pizzas)
Pizza Sauce (see Everything Else Section), BBQ Sauce or Ranch Dressing
Meat: Canadian Bacon, Bacon, Ground Beef, Chicken, Pepperoni, Sausage
Veggies: Onion, Bell Pepper, Pineapple, Mushroom, Broccoli, Olives, Cilantro, Jalapeno, Avocado, Tomato, Artichoke Heart
1. Grated your cheese, chop your veggies and cook your meats (Ground Beef and Chicken need to be precooked).
2. Cut your English Muffins in half. Place on foil covered cookie sheet.
3. Add sauce, cheese and toppings to muffin.
4. Cook muffins for 10-15 minutes in 350 degree oven (or until cheesy is melted and bubbly).
OH! You might want a sauce recipe because buying it from the store is just such a pain. Try this delicious recipe:
What You’ll Need
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
6 fluid ounces warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons honey
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram (actually didn’t have any on hand but still came out good)
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (this makes it hot maybe try a pinch or leave it out)
1/8 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
salt to taste
Mix It Up
1. In a small bowl combine all the ingredients.
2. Sauce should sit for 30 minutes to blend flavors.
Honestly, one of the best sauces I’ve ever come across. Like I said above watch out with the cayenne it really did make it spicy. I think I’ve decided to leave it out as my stomach is weak!
Now that we are done making those what else can we have to snack on at a New Year’s Party? How about some Chex Mix?
Salsa and Chips is always a great idea and I will tell you something; try making your salsa with Serrano Peppers instead of Jalapenos. They just have a delicious taste.

And now that I’m finish… Did I miss a Pizza Topping?
What are your favorite Pizza Toppings? I’m a simple girl who loves Canadian Bacon and Pineapple but I’m also a sucker for a Mushroom and Olive Pizza.
